This Chart is based on THE COMETS OF GOD by Jeffrey Goodman, Ph.D.  Two free downloads on the website for the book www.thecometsofgod.com give evidence and explanations supporting this chart: 1-“Russia Is Not Magog” (http://www.thecometsofgod.com/dwnlds/appndx-b.pdf   and 2- “Armageddon, Magog, and the War of Ezekiel 38/39” (http://www.thecometsofgod.com/dwnlds/chap9.pdf
.

War of Gog & Magog
Ezekiel 38/39
Battle of Armageddon
Revelation 16:14-21
Notes, References and Comments
1
A war in the mountains of Israel (Ezekiel 38:8, 21, and Ezekiel 39:2, 4, 17)
Armageddonin Hebrew literally meansa mountain rendezvous of troops
(Rev. 16:11)

The conflict takes place at Mount Hermon (Deuteronomy 4:48, Psalm 133:3) in northern Israel whose highest peak is Mt. Zion (Revelation 14:1)
2
God will rain upon Gog and those with him pestilence, great hailstones, fire and brimstone (Ezekiel 38:22)
And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent75 to 100 pounds
(Revelation 16:21)
NASA has photographed a cloud of hailstones the size of basketballs surrounding Comet Hartley 2.  http://christiannewswire.com/news/4010715546.html    In the ancient worldfire and brimstonewas typically associated with comet impacts.  Some scientists believe that comets can carry pestilence causing bacteria.
3
in that day there shall be a great shaking in the land of Israel(Ezekiel 38:19-20)
There was a great earthquake (Revelation 16:18)
Only cosmic impacts can generate earthquakes over 10 on the Richter Scale.  Fault- generated earthquakes cannot produce earthquakes over 10 on the Richter Scale.
4
God calls for a sword against Magog (Ezekiel 38:21), and God to send a fire on Magog
(Ezekiel 39:6)
The great earthquake (Revelation 16:18) and the 100 pound hailstones (Revelation 16:21) tell of a comet impact
In the ancient world, the word “swordwas a euphemism for a comet with a long tail; “Sending fire upon an areareferred to a god, such as the queen of heaven, using a comet to attack an area as in the Sumerian/Akkadian story, The Curse of Akkad.
5
the mountains shall be thrown down
(Ezekiel 38:20)
every island fled away and the mountains were not found (Revelation 16:20)
Only a very large cosmic impact that penetrates the earths crust could heat the earths mantle high enough to cause crustal melting and in turn cause the islands to flee away and the mountains to melt. The day of the Lord will involve the heavens and the earth and the works being burned up with fervent heat as we look for new heavens and a new earth (II Peter 3:10-13).  God promised to shake the heavens and the Earth once more (Hebrew 12:26).  This would take a cosmic impact large enough to also move the earth like a cottage and cause it to reel to and fro like a drunkard in that day when the Lord punishes the Kings of the earth (Isaiah 24:19-21).
6
Feathered fowl shall eat the flesh of the mighty and drink the blood of the princes of the earth.
(Ezekiel 39:4 and 17-19)
The Kings of the earth and the whole world gather to the battle of that great day of God Almighty
(Revelation 16:14).
The bodies of the leaders of the world and their armies who were killed in the battle by thefire and brimstoneand the 100 pound hailstones provide a sacrifice for all the fowl on their migration over northern Israel.  “… so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.  For wheresoever the carcass (body) is, there will the eagles (bird of prey) be gathered together(Matthew 24:27-28).  “And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God; 18) That ye may eat the flesh of kings, ‘”and of all men (Rev. 19:17-18).  Also see Zephaniah 1:7-8the day of the Lord is at handwhere he has prepared asacrificeand he punishes princes and kings.
7
“… this the day whereof I have spoken (Ezekiel 39:8).
That Great Day of God Almighty (Rev. 16:14).
Behold, the day of the Lord cometh , cruel both with wrath and fierce anger to lay the land desolate, and he shall destroy the sinners thereof  out of it (Isaiah 13:9).  Also see Isaiah 2:10-22 regardingthe day of the Lord.
8
in the fire of my wrath have I spoken, Surely in that day there shall be a great shaking in the land of Israel
(Ezekiel 38:19).
“…the fierceness of his wrath.(Revelation 16:19).
For the indignation of the Lord is upon all nations, and his fury upon all their armies; he hath utterly destroyed them, he hath delivered them to slaughter4) and all the host of heaven (cometsDeuteronomy 4:19 and 17:3, and Isaiah 40:26 and 45:2) shall be dissolved and the heavens (atmosphere) shall be rolled together as a scroll (atmosphere roll back after comet impact) and all their host (comets) shall fall down …” (Isaiah 34:1-4).  For behold, the Lord will come with fire, and with his chariots (comets) like a whirlwind (comets) to rend his anger with fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire (comets).  For by fire and the sword will the Lord plead with all flesh: and the slain of the Lord shall be many (Isaiah 66:16).For behold, the Lord will come with fire, and with his chariots (comets) like a whirlwind (comets) to rend his anger with fiery, and his rebuke with flames of fire (comets).  For by fire and the sword will the Lord, plead with all flesh: and the slain of the Lord shall be many (Israel 66:16).
9
Jesus reveals himself to man and will be known in the eyes of many nations and they shall know that I am the Lord (Ezekiel 38:23).
And I saw heaven opened and behold a white horse, and he that sat on him was called Faithful and True and in righteousness he doth judge and make war (Revelation 19:11).
Jesus returns as the conquering Messiah, Mashiach ben David to judge and make war (Revelation 19:11), using comets, hismighty onesas theweapons of his wrath(Isaiah 13:3-13), andhis ministers of flaming fire(Psalm 103:21 and Psalm 104:4).
